"The Voice of an Angel"
"Fallin' For You"
I've been spending all my time
Just thinking about ya
I don't know what to do
I think I'm fallin' for you
I've been waiting all my life
And now I found ya
I don't know what to do
I think I'm fallin' for you
I'm fallin' for you
Colbie Caillat October 05, 2009 Pabst Theater, Milwaukee, WI
The lights go down to focus on a single spot on stage, the drums speed up and then all you hear is a single voice ring through the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Colbie Caillat comes out on stage singing a song that she wrote to help her get over her stage fright. Caillat used her strength within herself to get over this fear. And she did a damn good job of it. I felt myself sinking slowly into relaxation to search for my own weakness and try to figure out what I could do to overcome them.
Then Caillat picked up the pace a little with her own version of her favorite song, “Don’t Cha,”(made famous by the Pussycat Dolls) but with a little bit of a soul twist. Calliat had the audience on their feet dancing! Everyone was smiling and having a good time. To add to that good time, the guitarist had a dance-off to a French-electronica/hardstyle with the audience. People were clapping and laughing. There was so much positive energy being fed back and forth between the audience and the band.
Caillat performed top hits such as, “Realize,” and “Bubbly.” Not to mention a very inspirational song about break up and moving on. She had the most powerful message about how break-ups happen, and about how no matter what, you need to keep on going, because it will always get better.
