About Us

In 2000 Teresa Reilly and Jackie DeRosa started MAME Magazine out of Boston, Mass. Over the next four years, twelve issues were printed and distributed across the nation. Artists ranging from P. Diddy to Aaron Carter were featured (check Print Years for a full list). However, in 2004 both founding ladies went and pursued further opportunities.

Now, in 2009, MAME Magazine is being resurrected in this web format. Completely free and run by two graduates from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, this magazine is looking to be a leader in the new wave of journalism.

Teresa Reilly, Founder and Co-Editor

Teresa recieved her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. After founding MAME Magazine in 2000, she went on to work for Houghton Mifflin, Thomson Reuters and Disney. She currently works from her Boston home.

Melissa D'Amico, Co-Editor

Melissa received her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Before joining MAME Magazine in 2009, she worked for the trade publications EDN Magazine and Test & Measurement World and Massachusetts-based PR firm Hart-Boillot.

Katy Hebel, Writer and Photographer

Katy Hebel has been working with MAME since 2003. She currently works full time as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a retirement center and as a line therapist with Wisconsin Early Autism Project. Although she has never gone to school for journalism, writing and people have always been her top two passions in life which work perfectly hand in hand for MAME.
